Executive - Sales Collection (1-2 yrs)
About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding payments from our customers, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This position requires 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and collect outstanding payments from customers through various channels (e.g., phone, email, mail).
- Process and apply customer payments accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and customer interactions.
- Generate and distribute invoices and statements to customers.
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and escalate delinquent accounts as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service) to resolve customer issues and improve collection processes.
- Prepare and analyze reports on aging, collections, and other key metrics.
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts receivable and collections.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- Proven ability to manage and collect outstanding payments effectively.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
