Executive - Sales/Business Development - Logistics Firm (0-3 yrs)
We are a part-load logistics start-up and are keenly looking to hire a BD/Sales person for direct sales.
Job description:
- The BD/Sales Executive will develop and maintain client relationships by developing effective ways to transport customers- freight by optimally utilizing Partly's logistics service model.
- This role serves in a sales capacity and communicates with both customer and carrier contacts/partners.
- Responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting and selling 'Partly', and maintaining sales goals and objectives.
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients.
2. Cultivate new sales leads to establish business.
3. Sell and negotiate on the pricing model depending upon the route and type of freight.
4. Responsible for securing and maintaining new business.
5. Provide quotes for current and prospective clients.
6. Lead generation through cold calling.
7. Update and maintain CRM.
8. Perform analytical and logistics planning
9. Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions.
10. Provide follow-up customer satisfaction with clients as needed.
11. Achieve individual, team, and company goals.
12. Work closely with the Managers to ensure customer freight is being moved efficiently as per the agreed TAT.
Skills & requirements:
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Must possess a strong work ethic.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to negotiate rates, sell services, and build professional relationships via telephone and email as well as in-person.
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Prior experience in logistics industry will be an advantage.
- Should have his/her own laptop as we are a start-up, we have a concept of bring-your-own-device.
