Executive - Field Sales - FMCG (1-4 yrs)
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and target-driven Sales Executive to join our team and drive store signups for our FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) digital platform. The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in expanding our merchant network by engaging with local retailers, supermarkets, and other FMCG stores to onboard them onto our platform. Experience in working with Paytm or PhonePe is preferred, as familiarity with digital payment solutions will be advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strong sales acumen, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
1. Actively prospect and approach local retailers, supermarkets, and FMCG stores to promote and sell our digital platform services.
2. Drive store signups by effectively communicating the benefits and features of our FMCG digital platform.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing merchants, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
4. Understand the specific needs and requirements of each store and tailor our platform offerings to meet their business objectives.
5. Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the functionality and value proposition of our FMCG digital platform.
6. Collaborate with the operations team to facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new store signups.
7. Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and digital payment solutions such as Paytm and PhonePe.
8. Achieve and exceed sales targets by consistently prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing deals.
9. Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the management team.
10. Continuously nurture and expand the merchant network to drive growth and revenue generation.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Sales Executive, preferably with a focus on acquiring store signups for a digital platform or FMCG industry.
2. Familiarity and experience with digital payment solutions such as Paytm or PhonePe is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of the FMCG industry, including store operations and customer dynamics.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with store owners and decision-makers.
5. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sales acumen and the ability to work independently.
6. Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
7. Ability to adapt and quickly learn about new technology platforms and services.
8. Exceptional negotiation and closing skills to secure store signups.
9. Proficiency in using CRM software, sales tools, and MS Office suite.
10. Willingness to travel within the designated territory and work flexible hours as needed.
