Executive - Corporate Sales - Hospitality/Travel (1-3 yrs)
Travel Agent Responsibilities :
Include: Planning and selling transportation, accommodations, insurance and other travel services. Cooperating with clients to determine their needs and advising them appropriate destination, modes of transportation, travel dates, costs and accommodations.
Duties :
1. Designing and developing a tour.
2. Determining an itinerary, arranging for tour escorts.
3. Assisting the overseas tour operating partner company in developing brochure content and marketing programmes.
4. Making travel and accommodation reservations.
5. Offering face to face and telephone advice to customers.
6. Quoting holidays and converting these to bookings.
7. Maximising sales and customer holiday experience by suggesting upgrades.
8. Offering excellent customer service, dealing with complaints in a calm and diplomatic manner.
9. Keeping product and brand knowledge up to date whilst having in-depth knowledge of the company's brochures and destinations.
10. Working to sales targets.
Skills and qualities :
- Passionate interest in geography, strong domestic and international travel knowledge.
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Strong numeric skills.
- Ability to multitask and quickly interpret complex information.
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients, both over the phone and face to face.
- Skills to persuade customers and influence their decisions, both for their own benefit and that of the agency.
- Exceptionally high levels of motivation, working both independently and as part of a team.
- Smart appearance.
- Proficient internet research skills for customer information.
- Ability to work in a target-based environment and to achieve sales goals and objectives.
- Ability to assimilate information and to pay close attention to accuracy and detail.
