Executive - Business Development - IT (3-5 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Development Manager with expertise in both pre-sales and post-sales activities. This role is focused on identifying business opportunities, driving IT sales growth, building strong client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire sales lifecycle. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between the sales and technical teams, providing seamless support to clients before and after the deal is finalized.

Key Responsibilities :

Pre-Sales Responsibilities :

- Continuously conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to stay ahead and identify new business opportunities.

- Conduct competitive analysis to understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses and position the company's offerings effectively.

- Generate and qualify leads through various channels including, but not limited to, networking events, online platforms, referrals, and market research.

- Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's goals and address specific client segments or markets. Achieve sales and revenue targets by identifying key markets and delivering tailored solutions.

- Engage with prospective clients to understand their business needs and challenges, and identify how the company's services can provide effective solutions.

- Prepare and deliver presentations that showcase the company's offerings, tailored to meet specific client needs.

- Oversee the entire proposal process from initial client inquiry to final submission, ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate proposals.

- Collaborate with internal technical teams for designing and proposing customized IT solutions from the company's offerings that align with client requirements.

- Create detailed technical and commercial proposals, including project timelines, budgets, and ROI analysis.

- Develop pricing strategies and negotiate terms with clients to secure contracts.

- Coordinate with marketing, sales, and product teams to align messaging, develop targeted campaigns, and ensure consistency in client communication.

- Provide feedback to product managers based on insights gathered from market interactions, helping to shape product improvements and future development plans.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing, potential, and past clients, understanding their needs and offering customized solutions, identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities, rapport building to gain positive word-of-mouth and referrals from the clients, ensure building positive brand image of the company.

Post-Sales Responsibilities :

- Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients by coordinating with internal delivery teams and managing project kick-off.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining ongoing relationships to understand their evolving needs.

- Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful delivery of IT solutions, on time, and within budget. Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during implementation.

- Coordinate post-sales support activities, ensuring timely resolution of client issues or concerns.

- Facilitate client training sessions and knowledge transfer to ensure clients can fully utilize the delivered solutions.

- Monitor customer satisfaction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions.

- Identify additional opportunities for revenue growth by identifying up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.

- Develop and implement strategies to boost client retention, renew contracts, identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities, foster long-term relationships for enhancing company's brand image, positive word-of-mouth, and referrals from clients.

- Collect client feedback and work with internal teams to resolve issues and implement improvements. Regularly collect feedback even after project completion to sustain client relationships and identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.

- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, project status, and support activities. Provide regular reports to senior management on client satisfaction, project outcomes, and opportunities for growth.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Marketing, or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

- 3 to 5+ years of experience in IT business development, with significant experience in both pre-sales and post-sales roles.

- Strong understanding of IT solutions, including cloud services, AI/ML, AR, VR, IoT, web, and mobile applications, and their use in solving business challenges.

- In-depth knowledge of the latest IT trends and solutions.

- Ability to conduct market research, identify new market opportunities, up-sell/cross-sell services, and align solutions with clients' business goals.

- Proven track record of driving IT sales and closing deals in a competitive market.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for clients.

- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in building lasting relationships with clients.

- Experience in developing comprehensive and compelling business proposals.

- Ability to negotiate effectively with clients to close deals and resolve post-sales challenges.

- Experience overseeing IT projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and are delivered within scope.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve them efficiently.

- Able to manage multiple clients, projects, and sales cycles simultaneously.

- Ability to work effectively with internal teams (technical, marketing) to design and deliver client-centric solutions.

- Must have experience as Pre-Sales/Business Development.

- Proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
