Executive - Business Development - Industrial Product (7-10 yrs)
1. End User Sales Management :
- Identify, target, and engage potential & retention accounts of end users from focused segments across different verticals from govt. (MES, Railways, CPWD, PWD, R&B, etc) and private sectors.
- Understand customer requirements & business cycle, providing solutions to enhance business efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct tailored product presentations and demonstrate value propositions tailored to the specific needs of end users.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, factory visits to create preference over competitors, and assisting in proposal creation and negotiation.
- Ensure customer satisfaction post-sale by working closely with implementation and collecting customer testimonials for future reference.
- Maintain and grow existing relationships with key clients to maximize repeat business and referrals.
2. Consultant Relationship Management :
- Maintain and enhance existing relationships with consultants who influence purchasing decisions on behalf of end users.
- Collaborate with consultants during the early stage of the project to understand their client's needs and position your products/services as solutions.
- Provide consultants with technical specifications, product information, and pricing models to assist them in recommending your offerings.
- Conduct regular training sessions for consultants to ensure they are well-versed in your products/services and can sell them effectively.
- Work with consultants to develop joint business strategies that increase sales opportunities and market penetration.
3. Sales Strategy and Performance :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that targets both focused end users and consultants from selected segments.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to ensure regional sales goals are met or exceeded.
- Conduct regular opportunity pipeline reviews, forecasting, and reporting on conversion performance and reporting on won/lost opportunities.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and refine regional sales strategies.
Education : Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Experience :
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales/business development, with a strong focus on end-user sales including govt. (MES, Railways, CPWD, PWD, R&B, etc) accounts and consultant management.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in B2B sales, preferably in the switchgear industry.
- Familiarity with consultative selling techniques and solution-oriented sales approaches.
