Executive - Business Development - Industrial Consumables (3-5 yrs)
The Group has 20 manufacturing sites (all the sites are certified under ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000), two new sites which are under construction and several sales offices spread across India. At the end of 2011, the Group had 4400 employees.
Position Summary:
- Achieve Sales Target.
- Business Development.
- Dealer/Customer Management.
- Market Intelligence.
- Management of Receivables.
- Reporting - Monthly, Visit.
- Compliance.
Key Responsibilities / Accountability:
1. Achieve sales target
- Achieve sales target in the assigned territory
2. Business Development
- Identify new opportunities for conversion
- Convert the identified business opportunities
- Conduct trials - for all established products approved by Product management, report the status of the trial and close the loop for the same
- Brickwalling of current business - through upgradation of current product, by offering of exceptional service or by maintaining better customer relationships etc.
3. Dealer/Customer Management
- Be involved in customer initiatives & technical engagement (for selected accounts)
- Manage complaints:
a. Understand the root cause of the problem & make a detailed investigation report in the complaint module.
b. Closure of the complaint in all respects
c. Implement/ Suggest corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
- Train the Dealers & DSE's - On the job training
- Conduct safety seminars and technical seminars at customer end
- Coordinate for collection of statutory forms
- Maintain relations at all levels at customer's place
4. Market Intelligence
- Gather information from market on:
a. Competition activity
b. Market Mapping
c. Gather Competition price information & reporting
5. Management of Receivables
- Ensure Collections as per the credit policy
- Maintain the quality of receivables
6. Sales planning
- Plan Demand Forecast
- Inventory Management (Quality/Value)
7. Price Management
- Implement price increase - Meet Middle & Senior management at customers place and presenting GNO's case
- Discount management
8. Reporting - Monthly, Visit
- Manage various sales reports
Job Specification:
Qualification Work Experience
- Graduate/ Diploma
- M11: 3-4 years of experience
Functional Skills Behavioral Skills
- Exposure in Front Line Sales of Industrial Consumables like cutting tools, cutting fluids and welding electrodes.
