Job Summary
A business development executive is responsible for researching and pursuing new business leads/partnerships for the growth of the business. The role involves active coordination and requires good inter-personal skills. The executive is expected to work on new business proposals and presentations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Build contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities.
- Keep prospective client database updated.
- Make cold calls for new business leads and establishing relationships.
- Following up swiftly on sales inquiries and sending out information.
- Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media),LinkedIn,utilize the contacts lists to identify new leads and potential new markets
- Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings.
- Attending industry events in order to generate business leads.
- Approaching prospects through direct telesales methods in order to establish relationships and arrange new business opportunities.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Any graduate/ post graduate
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in the field of technology, marketing, sales and finance.
- Previous experience ideally from a company in the same or similar industry.
- Proven track record of bringing in new business and a natural ability to drive sales.
- Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.Strong communication skills to communicate, present, assert and speak to all the different stakeholders involved. Must be able to cold call prospects with confidence.
