Job Description: Business Development Executive
Job Purpose : The BDE assists in the company's sales process by working from our office in Pune during U.S. business hours using specified methods (phone, e-mail or other means) to establish appointments for our company's senior managers to place calls to qualified receptive contacts at potential clients in the U.S. The BDE researches potential prospects and helps to maintain our database of research and contact attempt details. The BDE generates correspondence and reports as needed to achieve sales results and performs other administrative duties as requested by senior management.
Business Development Executive's KRA- s :
- Current expectation is to get a minimum of two relevant appointment every week. This KRA metric will be increased as the candidate gains experience.
- Number of contact records produced and screened correctly.
- Perform job functions described herein with the intent to always work in the best interests of the company and represent it well. Metric expected is 100% compliance.
Business Development Executive's Job Duties :
- Researches data on prospects as defined by senior management. Screens business contacts so they meet our needs. Enters contacts into the database with added information as needed that may be useful in contacting them.
- Calls influencers (people who could influence the decision to contract for our services) to find the correct people with whom our senior management should talk.
- Sets up appointments by following up with those people responsible for making client outsourcing decisions. Appointments should be made with senior management of the contacted companies.
- Documents carefully and completely all deliverable discussed in meetings and then publishes the minutes of the meetings.
- Tracks and ensures that client expectations are met after the meeting, making sure that letters, references, proposals etc. are sent to the client on a timely basis.
- Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
- Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.
- Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences.
- Represents the executive by attending meetings in the executive's absence; speaking for the executive.
- Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
