Executive - Business Development - Apparel/Textile (2-5 yrs)
Job description :
Working as a Business Development Executive you will identify and develop your own network of clients through incoming enquires.
Role :
- Following up on incoming leads and setting up trails.
- Building network through fashion events.
- Maintaining contact with existing clients and identify the opportunities.
- Liaise with content and editorial teams with up to date industry information.
- Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
- Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets.
- Contacting potential clients via email or phone and set up meetings
- Developing quotes and proposals
- Developing sales goals for the team and ensuring they are met.
- Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills
Required Skills :
- Minimum 2 years of prior experience in Business Development within the textile and fashion industry.
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication and people management skills required.
- A good understanding and interest of the wider fashion industry, including knowledge of fashion ecommerce sites, boutiques, blogs and fashion magazines
- Experience in sales related to high-end fashion apparel and accessories; designer wholesale experience or showroom experience preferred
