Job Overview :
- The Event Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a range of events from corporate functions and conferences to social gatherings and product launches.
- This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding event experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Event Planning : Develop comprehensive event plans and timelines, including venue selection, budgeting, and logistics.
Vendor Management : Identify and negotiate with vendors and suppliers, including caterers, decorators, and entertainment.
Team Coordination : Lead and coordinate event staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations and effective execution.
Client Interaction : Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing recommendations and updates throughout the planning process.
Budget Management : Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and within financial limits.
Marketing and Promotion : Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies to drive attendance and engagement.
On-Site Management : Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring all elements are in place and functioning as planned.
Problem Solving : Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that arise during events, maintaining a professional and calm demeanor.
Post-Event Evaluation : Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in event planning and management, with a proven track record of successful events.
Skills : Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in event management software.
Creativity : Ability to develop innovative event concepts and solutions.
Flexibility : Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
Certification (Optional) : Certification in event planning or related fields (e.g., CMP - Certified Meeting Professional) is a plus.
