Job Description(Roles &Responsibilities)
An ERP Sales Engineer is a professional who sells enterprise resource planning (ERP) software solutions to prospective and existing customers. They identify customer needs, demonstrate product features and benefits, and provide technical support throughout the sales cycle. They also collaborate with ERP consultants, product managers, and implementation teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful delivery of ERP solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Prospecting and qualifying new leads and opportunities for ERP software sales
- Conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts to showcase ERP software capabilities and value proposition
- Responding to customer inquiries, requests for information (RFIs), and requests for proposals (RFPs) with accurate and timely technical information
- Providing pre-sales technical support and guidance to customers and sales account managers
- Coordinating with ERP consultants, product managers, and implementation teams to design and propose optimal ERP solutions that meet customer requirements and expectations
- Negotiating contracts, closing deals, and achieving sales targets
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of ERP software products, industry trends, and competitors
Mandatory Skills :
- Strong technical knowledge of ERP software solutions, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite(Applicable only for Experience not Freshers)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills(Applicable for both)
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling business benefits(Applicable for both)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team(Applicable for both)
- Ability to travel frequently to meet customers and prospects(Applicable for both)
