Business Development
We are looking for an experienced Business Development personnel to join our team!
The focus area of this role will be Planning & Implementation of the sales and marketing plans in lines of property, engineering, liability, employee benefits etc. insurance programs, and specialty lines. This position also involves understanding the client's industry to provide them best solutions related to corporate Insurance policies. Also sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific need anticipate new opportunities.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and cultivate relationships with corporate clients and drive closure of deals.
- Set up meetings, conceptualize, prepare and deliver presentations.
- Creating a database or prospective clients. Maintaining constant touch with them by identifying key stakeholder and decision makers on corporate Insurance solutions as per client needs.
- Work with internal team to assure timely delivery of services to clients and assure that client's expectations are met.
- Business Intelligence: Be the eyes and ears in the market and constantly be in touch with updates in the insurance industry.
- Understanding the prospect/client's business and risk exposures.
- Making comparison of the terms in the quotations received from the various insurance companies.
- Negotiating the terms and conditions received from the insurers to meet the client's requirements.
- Meeting the prospect/client with the recommendation of cover.
- Cross verification of the policy terms and conditions.
Skills and Qualifications :
- 8+ years Business Development role in insurance broking or general insurance company
- Proven track record of achievement in exceeding targets
- Self-motivated, self-directed, mature, ambitious, intelligent, articulate and knowledgeable.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral, is a must.
- Proven ability to do consultative and concept selling
- Ability to study and analyse the policy details, summarize coverage, and advise its suitability to a client
- IRDAI-mandated broker's training and cleared examination will be a plus.
