Job Summary :
- As a Vendor Manager for our E-commerce Marketplace, you will be crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with our vendor partners. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the onboarding, performance, and overall satisfaction of vendors on our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and contribute to the growth and success of our marketplace.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on product categories and business needs.
- Collaborate with the onboarding team to streamline the vendor onboarding process.
- Conduct due diligence on potential vendors to ensure they meet quality and compliance standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular vendor meetings to discuss performance, sales strategies, and promotional opportunities.
- Analyze vendor performance metrics, including sales, product assortment, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop action plans to address any issues and optimize vendor performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure vendors meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Provide insights to internal teams on market conditions and potential opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns.
- Work with the product team to ensure a well-curated and diverse product assortment.
- Monitor and enforce quality standards for products listed on the platform.
- Address and resolve quality issues with vendors, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in vendor management, preferably in an e-commerce or marketplace setting.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Familiarity with e-commerce trends and technologies.
