Role-Category Marketing Manager
Roles & Responsibility :
Growth champion - You will drive marketplace growth of the category. Existing Category expansion &adding up new products / brands will be one of the key objectives of this role.
Consumer Centric - Your job will be to understand the consumers in depth and dissect the direct and indirect competitors in the same and adjacent category. You will be expected to interact with consumers and generate key insights
Strategy - This category will be one of its first kind in India. You will have to work in creating a go to market plan, marketing strategy and the overall product lifecycle in the category
SKU management - create the right product mix as per the channel.
Goal oriented - You will own the P&L (profit and loss) statement for the Category that you will handle. Targets as per annual operating plan will be another major key responsibility. To achieve them you will be responsible to create necessary infrastructure as well. With expertise in the industry you should know the nuances of categories which will increase our profitability.
Activations &Promotions - Create activation plans as per the GTM and lead the team to build awareness and trials.
Sales &Distribution - Interact with the sales and distribution team to channelize the range to the market. Interact with retailers, Modern trade accounts and other channels to develop key account relationships.
Media & Advertising :
- Work closely with Agencies, media team to deploy right ATL budgets
- Create playbooks for scaling the category to multiple cities and various channels.
- Create a profitable portfolio and deliver short team and long term goals as per the AOP.
- Work with all the retailers and get the right visibility and deploy BTL budgets.
- Responsible on the overall growth, sales and P&L for the category.
- Attain the numbers for select set of products / new products / focus products by adequate support to the sales team.
- Track, measure and attain set goals on market share for both volume and revenue for the category.
- Perform periodic product and market reviews to identify gaps and areas of opportunity for the product.
- Refer regional priorities and opportunities to suggest comprehensive marketing initiatives to achieve identified objectives.

Business nuances: Ability to take decisions based on sound data analysis and business understanding.

Problem solving: Deal with complexity and unstandardized processes to come up with quick scalable solutions to problems.
Data orientation :
- Should be able to build an approach to solving problems through data first.
- Excel and PowerPoint - pivot tables, VLOOKUP's etc.

Must haves:
- Currently working in FMCG Category (Food & Frozen Food).
- Worked in this category at least for 4 years minimum.
- Have experience in generating additional marketing income through sale of visibility assets constantly month on month.
