Education Counselor - EduTech Solution (3-15 yrs)
We are looking for passionate and energetic individuals for our client who can provide personalized guidance to students in Grades 8 to 12 applying to undergraduate programs in the US, UK, Australia and Canada. Our proprietary AI Ada will assist you offer tailored advice to each student, ensuring they receive the most relevant and effective guidance. This includes reminders for important dates, feedback on application materials, and access to resources for interview preparation
- Evaluate and guide applicants for entry into prestigious programs and institutions across the world
- Help candidates become competitive for summer programs, school, college, and undergraduate admissions in top education regions.
- Support students during their crucial school and college years, ensuring they reach their highest personal and academic potential and are well-prepared for future academic and career
Role and Responsibilities:
Counselor will be supported by Ada in day to day activities
- Student Counseling:
- Assist students in identifying their interests, strengths, and career goals
- Provide information about various undergraduate programs, universities, and countries of interest including the cost of education
- Career Guidance:
- Help students explore potential career paths and choose majors that align with their interests and goals.
- Provide information on internship opportunities, extracurricular activities, and other experiences that enhance college applications.
- Application Support:
- Guide students through the college application process, including application
forms, essays, and letters of recommendation.
- Review and provide feedback on personal statements, essays
- Assist students with the preparation and submission of application documents.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, school staff, and college representatives.
- Provide ongoing support and follow-up throughout the application process and beyond
- Test Preparation:
- Offer guidance on standardized tests such as SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and IELTS.
- Workshops and Seminars:
- Provide information on workshops, seminars, and webinars on topics such as college selection, application strategies, and scholarship opportunities
- Stay updated on trends and changes in international education and share relevant information with students and parents
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in college counseling or a related field.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of international education systems and college application processes
- Proficiency in using counseling and software tools including proprietary Ada
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high school students in India
- Familiarity with various international education systems and admission criteria
- Certification in career counseling or a related area
