Editor - Animation/Media (1-3 yrs)
Purpose of the Role
People are faced with new challenges in their job and personal life, as well as a constant assault of worrisome headlines. We are looking for an exceptional editor to oversee the creation of high-impact content from inception to completion, with a focus on agenda-setting and unique reporting. You'll be in charge innovative ways of working, prioritize digital, and use audience data and insight to ensure that our content reaches all of our viewers, especially those who are underserved.
Job Responsibilities :
- Write coverage news for news articles on a wide range of topics
- Update website content as needed.
- Proofread and edit posts before publication.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews.
- Identify potential news or topics for publishing
- Obtain pertinent information from the internet and other sources and rephrasing it on one's terms.
- Suggest innovative concepts and ideas, both related to and unrelated to the content.
- Excellent organizational skills to work independently
Essential skills and qualifications :
- A bachelor's degree in mass communication, Journalism or any equivalent degree
- Experience of managing a large multi-skilled team, with strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with daily and long-term editorial demands.
- A passion for breaking stories and delivering high-impact original journalism
- A thorough understanding of what makes great digital content including text, video and social media.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant team's specialism, able to explain complex issues and represent the story team's journalism in key editorial meetings.
