Director - Business Development - Sheet Metal/Auto Component (15-16 yrs)
Our client is a leading company in the sheet metal/auto component industry. They are looking for Director Business Development, who will based at Andheri East, Mumbai
Location: Andheri East, Mumbai
Office Timing: 9.30 am to 6.30 pm
Weekly off: Sunday
Position reports to: Managing Director
Job Title: Director Business Development
Expectations:
- Continually developing Group's brand and building increasing awareness in the sheet metal/auto component industry. Generating and seeking out potential new opportunities in the domestic & international market.
- Developing and managing relationships with existing clients, potential clients, influencers and key stakeholders of Group.
- Evaluating new opportunities to ensure resources are utilized to their optimum potential and focus on the best opportunities [commercially & sustainably].
- Monitoring external factors [PESTLE] and reviewing Group's offering in light of its and competitors developments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
- The proactive engagement of the existing and potential customers for meeting targets for sales, marketing, profitability.
- In agreement with the Sector Heads, create and implement sales plans to grow income in target, share of business and geographic sectors locally and globally.
- Working with Sector Heads through the in-depth understanding of customer needs, identify new opportunities and markets for the application of Group's capabilities
- Responsible for the acquisition of new customer.
- Usage of business tools and analysis for identification of competitive threats to the underlying base of Group and propose appropriate action.
- Responsible for his/her own work planning against KPI's set in agreement with the Managing Director.
Communication and information
- Report to and meet with, the Managing Director at a minimum of once per week. Reporting is the prescribed format.
- Represent and promote the interests of the company via external conferences and meetings; - Participate in and encourage in the activities of Group within and outside the company;
- Working with the CFO, agree and establish systems for the effective financial management of the external facing functions;
- Provide monthly MIS as per decided format

Person Specification
- Education - Bachelors in Engineering + MEM/MBA - Marketing [preferred]
- Experience - 15 years [majority in engineering & manufacturing industry]
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Significant financial and data management expertise
- Knowledge of Engineering
- Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels including presenting information at board of director level
- Able to lead a team and be a member of a leadership team
