DigitalPaani - Head - Sales Operations (5-10 yrs)

Location: Mumbai (Delhi-NCR may also be considered)

- At DigitalPaani, we're building the future of water to help meet up to 65% of urban water needs and solve the growing water and climate crisis across the world. Today, 75% of the wastewater treatment facilities (STPs/ETPs) in factories and buildings don't work properly because the expertise and data to handle such complex operations doesn't exist at the ground level.


- Our IoT-enabled software platform for water is serving this $17 billion opportunity by managing the complete operations cycle for each one of these facilities and transforming them into compliant units delivering high quality water.


- We've been awarded by Cartier, Niti Aayog and FICCI for our innovative approach, backed by international investors like Elemental Excelerator (first Asian company in their portfolio!), and serve top-tier clients like Amazon, Reliance, Tata Power, Taj Hotels, and more.

- We seek a dynamic sales leader to drive revenue growth by direct sales in the western region as an individual, and also coordinate sales operations for the company by working with other team members. This role involves lead generation, deal closure, managing customer relationships, managing sales team members and leading the entire sales operations.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to Sales Operations (Across regions, company-wide)-50%

- Implement sales strategies to achieve company goals and objective

- Collaborate with senior leadership to set sales targets and forecast revenue

- Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals

- Implement and manage sales processes, tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

- Lead, mentor and develop the sales operations team, fostering a high-performance culture

- Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and provide coaching and feedback to team members

- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities

- Facilitate communication and collaboration between sales team members

- Work closely with marketing team to generate leads and revenue

Direct Sales (Western Region)- 50%

- Reach out to potential customers via outreach, networking, events & social media, respond to inbound enquiries and effectively communicate our value proposition

- Set up meetings with potential customers, identify key decision makers, prepare & deliver appropriate presentations on the DigitalPaani product to educate them on how it can benefit them

- Proactively address customer queries, wishes, objections

- Negotiate and close sales deals

- Provide feedback from customers or prospects to internal teams.

- Stay informed on industry trends.

- Building & maintaining strong relationships with customers to continuously grow the account.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

- 5-10 years of top tier experience in sales operations, preferably in B2B software/ IoT/ automation environment especially to industries or infra customers

- Past experience of working at startups in a fast-paced, dynamic environment would be an advantage

- Degree in Business, Marketing or related field. An engineering background is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates from Tier 1 colleges/ universities.

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities

- Organized, structured and consistent in hitting monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets

- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and prospects, should be well connected and networked

- Proficient with CRM software and MS Office/ G Suite

- Excellent fluency in English and Hindi

- High level of humility, action-bias, dynamism, drive, and energy - great teammate

- Mission and value-driven, optimistic and enthusiastic about transformative change

- Willingness to travel extensively across the western region and occasionally to other regions (at least 50% of the time)
