Deputy Manager - Sales - FMCD (5-10 yrs)
1) Responsible for sales activities in the assigned area. Will report to Zonal head
2) Should be able to handle any market within Odisha, if required.
3) Manage the performance of entire sales team and timely reporting, MIS, sales force tracking, Sales automation software etc.
4) Improve the sales network through appointment and management of Super Stockists, Distributors, Wholesalers, Retailers, Exclusive Outlets, etc.
5) Develop and implement strategies for sales and marketing
6) Sync the team strategy with annual budget for all Sales activities including all ATL and BTL activities, Trade Schemes, etc and ensure budgetary compliance once budgets have been finalised.
7) Prepare and present MIS Reports in respect of all Sales and Marketing activities as per defined periodicities, for Zonal Head review. Should be able to adapt to existing practices in the company and further improvise on the formats and practices for better planning, transparency, efficiency and accountability.
8) Collect Market intelligence from all parts of his zone and report to Zonal Head on a regular basis, along with proposals to counter competition moves to constantly increase the market share.
9) Along with Zonal Head must forecast monthly sales SKU wise to enable accurate Production Planning and ensure an even demand throughout every month to prevent sudden surges in production/ despatch demands.
10) Ensure optimal stock levels with all stake holders like Super Stockists, Distributors, Wholesalers, Retailers, etc. to ensure demand and supply is evenly matched. Also needs to ensure that there are no returns due to life expiry.
11) Ensure that the complete Sales Team is fully ethical, organised, transparent, highly motivated and constantly developing in knowledge and skill, with no bias at all levels.
12) Responsible for Collections. Needs to constantly improve the cash flow by reducing the Credit Period and move towards a Cash and Carry environment.
13) Constantly push for higher market share in all segments like General Trade, Modern Trade, Institutional Sales including HoReCa, Direct Sales, etc.
14) Travel extensively across the market for a first hand feel of the market. This also includes surprise visits to discover the - default- status in the markets.
15) Play a key role in conducting dealers meet, retailers meet, caterers meet, etc.
16) Participate in PLI framework definition and implementation to arrive at a transparent and just PLI system. Must set healthy and unbiased Yearly/ Quarterly/ Monthly targets to all team members in sync with the targets of the organisation and process the PLI claims after thorough vetting at all PLI release occasions.
