Deputy Head - Digital Technology - Digital Marketing Strategy - NGO (10-15 yrs)
The position is responsible for the planning, execution and management of Digital Marketing initiatives of the organisation in order to drive the growth of the Digital Brand. The role entails meeting the brand and business objectives of the organisation. The position will drive the overall Digital Marketing strategy and will manage the Digital marketing campaigns, social media outreach, content development and audience engagement programmes. The position also entails production and publishing of great quality content for website, external channels and via email to support business objectives. It is the responsibility of the Digital Marketing manager to lead, mentor and inspire teams on the ever-evolving digital landscape and proactively identify new opportunities to create competitive advantage through various marketing initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build brand on the digital space:
- Lead the organisation online engagement strategy and build and maintain our interconnected communications systems.
- Create online campaigns that integrate website, email, social media, video, online tools and graphics to move people to action.
- Define strategic roadmaps and deploy digital solutions across paid owned and earned channels to ensure growth of the organisation on the Digital space.
- Develop customized strategies for the digital medium around the brand campaigns being done in the ATL/BTL space.
- Develop and deploy comprehensive framework to support the various marketing programmes in order to create awareness and engagement.
- Develop relevant content (videos, articles, blog pieces, info-graphics, picture stories etc.) to support campaign objectives.
- Monitor, analyze and optimize plans and strategies to achieve defined goals; Define metrics for initiatives and campaigns and monitor performance.
- Work closely on the development Online Giving Platform ensuring a smooth user experience and integration between databases, our website and external partner websites.
- Design and deliver digital communication workshop/training.
- Prepare weekly digital performance reports and share with the Senior Management.
Social Media Management:
- Develop social media strategy and implement framework to achieve business and brand objectives.
- Build and sustain social media communities and create relevance for the organisation brand, products and services.
- Develop relevant content and communication to drive brand message across social channels and create conversations and engagement for the brand.
- Manage content dissemination, influencer engagement and seeding through native tactics in order to create amplification and virality for brand messages.
Digital Campaign Management:
- Design and deliver digital fundraising campaigns and manage it on all platforms.
- Design and deliver disaster appeals.
- Co-ordinate with internal teams on various thematic campaigns. Add value to existing donor led campaigns.
- Devise strategies to increase in-flow of digital revenue for the organisation.
- Work closely with Program and Business development teams on donor led campaigns to ensure that online communications complement and are being effectively integrated with offline communications.
- Product communication on the digital space:
- Develop digital marketing strategy, propositions and campaigns for the organisations existing product lines and for the upcoming giving platform (OGP- Online Giving Platform).
- Plan and manage digital marketing communication for launches, events, workshops etc. across various digital media vehicles for the organisations offline plans.
Manage website, blog, OGP on an ongoing basis:
- Overseeing day-to-day operation of website, including all maintenance and updates of web content as needed.
- Improving visibility and search ability of content across the website on an ongoing basis and search engine optimization.
- Keep all communications technology systems functioning and updated on a day-to-day basis including the website, Blog, OGP, email marketing systems and others.
- Manage and grow our online database, including setting standards and procedures for data entry and upload, and training staff.
- Oversee creative production and distribution of regular outbound emails, developing text and graphics templates and monitoring and updating e-mail database regularly to maintain and increase deliverability rates.
- Analyze the performance of digital campaigns and produce reports on lead acquisition, engagement and responsiveness.
- Stay current on online best practices and new technologies and techniques to suggest innovative new ways Innovate should use its online channels to increase its organizing impact and train other staff on implementing best practices.
- Lead or participate in special projects as directed by HOD.
- To perform other related task assigned by line manager.
Desired Candidate Profile :
Graduate/Post Graduate (preferably marketing and communication) with minimum 8 years of experience; at least 4 years of experience in Digital Marketing.
Proven and demonstrable record of implementing successful Digital marketing and Social Media campaigns.
Strong expertise in digital practice with in depth understanding of various facets like Social Media Marketing (SMM), Content Creation & Dissemination.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent writing skills experience in the management and writing of communication across the marketing mix.
Fully versed in SEO best practices and analysis of web usage trends.
Working effectively and comfortably with external and internal constituents and stakeholders.
Energetic self-starter with good interpersonal and collaborative teamwork skills.
Preferred: basic image editing and graphic design skills, ideally including familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
