Job Summary :
Provide Customer Technical Service & OEM Liaison support in designated SBU channel for India. Provide commercial team with effective & efficient technical support to enable maintenance of current business & enable future business growth. Provide & coordinate the technical support for OEM project needs, build relationships at working level & look for new opportunities for company to engage in OEM specific projects that align with business priorities enabling both SF & FF growth in India.
Responsibilities :
Customer Technical Service :
Provide support for India in designated Strategic Business Unit.
- Provide best in class Customer Technical Service (CTS) support to local Sales organisation & our customer base, focussing efforts on both maintaining existing business & growing new business opportunities in line with the business priorities as defined by the Regional CTS & OEM Management.
- Accompany Sales to visit & establish contacts within customer Technical organisations, in line with regional priorities & targets.
- Present information on Company's products, services and application know-how to customers, & Sales
- Identify opportunities where technical programmes of work would lead to business opportunities for Company's and work with Sales & Marketing to put that opportunity through the appropriate stage-gate evaluation.
- Manage the technical programmes of work to support the use of Company's products in the customers formulations as agreed & where in-line with the priorities as defined by the Country Manager, CTS & OEM management.
- Build strong relationships based on trust with key players in customer technical organisation
Maintain a close working relationship with other departments / functions such as Sales, Marketing & others in order to ensure - alignment to the business plan in support of business growth in the country & SBU.
- Liaise closely with CTS & Development teams in HO office as appropriate.
- Compliance to Company's Safety, Quality & ethical standards at all times.
OEM :
- Visit & establish working contacts within key OEM organisations. Ensure that their priorities and strategies are fully understood, actively promote Company's in line with the Indian & regional priorities gauging their interest in working with Company's on FF & SF opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with lubricant approvers & development engineers at each OEM
- Secure service fill approvals for products where required
- Identify possible factory fill opportunities for Company's and work to define the business opportunity for each opportunity, putting this through the Company's Stage-Gate process if agreed as in-line with the business priorities & strategy.
- Prioritise work in line with the business priorities as defined by the Country Manager, CTS & OEM Management.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Sales, Marketing & other departments / functions in order to maintain alignment on priorities & targets for the business.
Education & Experience Minimums :
Degree level - preferably in chemistry or engineering
Experience in Lubricant, Fuel or closely related industries
Excellent English
Education & Experience Preferred :
- Technical knowledge & experience in lubricants or fuels
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships with 3rd party companies
- Experience of working in a matrix based environment in an international company
- Knowledge of Company's systems and processes
- For New Market or Company's employees, an appropriate combination of experiences that will support the required skill base may replace one or more of the specific experience requirements above.
