Role and Responsibilities Overview :

As a Business Development Specialist at dataX, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by supporting and optimizing the sales process, managing client contracts, and coordinating strategic content and outreach initiatives. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and partnerships teams to track key performance indicators, develop targeted content, and identify new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sales Reporting & Analysis :

- Track, analyze, and report on key sales performance indicators such as lead generation, conversion rates, revenue growth, and customer acquisition costs.

- Collaborate with the sales team to monitor progress towards these goals and provide actionable insights to optimize sales processes.

- Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement to executive management.

- Utilize data-driven insights to recommend strategies for enhancing overall sales performance.

2. Contract Management :

- Oversee and maintain the status of client/partner contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely progression through each stage.

- Coordinate with and delegate tasks to the appropriate signatories from dataX to ensure contracts are completed efficiently and within deadlines.

3. Target Identification & Data Management :

- Identify and aggregate lists of target companies, partnerships, associations, buying groups, and conferences based on solution fit and competitor analysis.

- Compile and submit prospect data into marketing tools to initiate outreach cadences via email and LinkedIn.

- Continuously update and refine target lists to ensure alignment with business objectives.

4. Strategic Content Development & Campaign Management :

- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager, Marketing Director, and Partnerships

- Director to create and refine content tailored to different prospects and market segments.

- Co-develop and manage email content, ensuring it aligns with various campaign strategies and solution offerings.

- Utilize marketing tools to create and manage email sequences, frequencies, and automation for effective outreach.

5. Conference & Consultant Engagement :

- Identify and evaluate potential conferences for the sales team to attend and influential consultants relevant to dataX solutions.

- Facilitate meetings between dataX stakeholders and external entities to explore collaboration opportunities.

- Coordinate and set up strategic engagements at conferences, ensuring alignment with product-market fit and business goals.

6. Market Intelligence & Opportunity Monitoring :

- Monitor inbound RFP opportunities from the dataX email inbox and state portals, aggregating and following up on potential leads.

- Aggregate and analyze competitor data, including solutions, pricing, and market strategies, to inform outreach efforts and competitive positioning.

- Identify and pursue opportunities for podcasts, newsletter sponsorships, webinars, and co-sponsored content to enhance brand visibility.

7. Outreach Optimization & Compliance :

- Maintain a list of companies and individuals to avoid in outreach efforts, ensuring compliance with marketing and business strategies.

- Continuously refine outreach processes and content to improve engagement and conversion rates, while ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
