Creative Writer - Advertising/Media Firm (1-2 yrs)

Responsibilities:
- Write persuasive, clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice for various mediums.
- Develop creative ideas, with relevant insights from the world around us.
- Take on briefs and develop scripts, and help craft a treatment to execute. See the project from start to finish.
- Constantly work with the team and brainstorm on ideas.
- Pitch internally for one's own ideas for sketches, series, short films.
- Have a good network of editors, directors, cinematographers and production houses.
- Keep an eye out for relevant social commentary, topical issues, and other phenomenon and develop ideas that strike a chord with audiences across the spectrum.
- Write video scripts and - big idea- value propositions to drive marketing slogans and copy statements.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive content idea generation that drives engagement and builds brand awareness.
- Ensure content reflects brand(s) guidelines including the brand promise, brand voice, and brand personality.
- Works closely with brand marketing teams to assess marketing copy and content performance/effectiveness.
- Provide strategic recommendations on adjusting tone/style/length/subject matter to drive engagement.
- Develop a brand-specific copy strategy. Assess long term content needs and recommend ways to integrate and streamline copy across multiple touch points.
Skills & Qualities :
- Proven experience as a scriptwriter or related role, preferably in advertising.
- Bachelor's degree; Marketing, Advertising, English, Journalism or Communications.
- Well-developed strong writing, editing, and communications skills.
- A deep understanding of consumers and what motivates them.
- Understanding what makes a compelling story.
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
