Copywriter - Social Media (2-3 yrs)

Role : Social Media Copywriter
Location : Chennai
Role Summary :
The Social Media Copywriter will be responsible for creating engaging and effective content for the company's social media channels. They will work closely with the digital marketing team to develop a content strategy that aligns with the brand's overall marketing objectives. The Social Media Copywriter will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure the brand's content stands out and resonates with the target audience.
Key Responsibilities :
The key responsibilities of the Social Media Copywriter include, but are not limited to the following :
- Develop a content calendar and strategy for the company's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter etc.)
- Create high-quality, engaging, and on-brand copy for social media posts, captions, and advertisements.
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure visual elements complement the written content
- Monitor social media trends and industry best practices, and suggest new content ideas and approaches.
- Analyze social media performance data and provide insights to optimize content and campaigns.
- Assist in the creation of other digital marketing assets, such as website copy, email newsletters, and blog posts.
- Stay up-to-date with social media platform algorithm changes and adjust content strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate with the social media community management team to ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.
Desired Competencies :
- Excellent written communication skills with a strong command of the English language
- Proven experience in social media copywriting and content creation
- Ability to write engaging, persuasive, and on-brand copy for various social media platforms
- Familiarity with social media marketing best practices and trends
- Strong understanding of the target audience and their preferences
- Creativity and the ability to generate innovative content ideas
- Attention to detail and the ability to consistently maintain brand voice and messaging
- Proficiency in social media analytics and performance reporting
Profile Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field Experience : 2-3 years of experience in social media copywriting or content creation Age: 24-30 years
- Languages : Fluency in English is required; proficiency in South Indian local languages is an advantage
