Copy Writer

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Discussing the client's core message and target audience

- Brainstorming visual and copy ideas with other members of the creative team

- Writing for both print and digital media

- Build a following for brand(s) on social media with creative work

- Research markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original

- Write & schedule a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)

- Collaborate with campaign managers, creative team, and designers

- Create a content calendar as per the strategy

- Promote content on social media

- Identify customers- needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics

- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)

Qualifications and Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent grasp of English language

- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

- Self-motivated and self-directed

- High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in creative writing, journalism, English, or related field preferred

- Prior experience in writing

- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and Google Docs

- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Strict adherence to company policies and style

- The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver

- A grammar fanatic

For the copywriter, I am primarily looking for the following (in addition to the JD):

- A very good score in academics (especially English)

- Doesn't look like a job skipper

- Have experience in content writing for social media, web/blogs

- Well versed will social media

- Great attitude, integrity, flowing with passion (will be assessed during the interview)

- Desire to win Bookaholic

- Interest in art, films are an added advantage

- Understands social media analytics
