Copy Writer (3-6 yrs)
About the role:
Content marketing, as a function, is at the heart of all the marketing functions at Company. It plays a vital role in driving demand generation, brand awareness, product marketing and education.
While a highly talented set of marketers own the distribution aspect, we- re looking for a witty copywriter with exceptional storytelling skills to aid the marketing team in building meaningful, memorable connections with the target audience. You'll be responsible for developing full-funnel content assets including digital and print ads, landing pages, social media copies, emails, brochures, webpages, and presentations.
You'll be a part of an agile, goal-oriented content marketing team working closely with the content, brand and performance marketers, video editors and designers.
If you have a deep understanding of the art of copywriting (and hate typos), this role is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop copies for various formats including newsletters, advertising campaigns, video scripts, brochure, social media posts and other assets under the marketing realm
- Lead concepting and copywriting for the development of brand and customer stories: narrative direction, storyline, structure, tone, etc.
- Synthesize complex, technical concepts into easy-to-comprehend and engaging messaging
- Utilize trending topics into copies
- Carry out copyediting for content assets created by cross-functional teams
- Build repurposed content resources like infographics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams like product, performance and brand marketing along with the customer-facing teams to create educational content for existing and potential customers
- Be a custodian of the brand guidelines at Company
- Keep up to date with the latest trends in the SaaS industry
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of copywriting experience at a digital/ad/media agency or in SaaS
- Exceptional copywriting skills
- A portfolio of unique, noteworthy/award-winning creative work demonstrating expertise in the art of writing, cultural relevance, human psychology, and wit
- Creative thinking with a flair for intuitive storytelling
- Strong ability to ideate and execute ideas
- Understanding of the role that human psychology plays in appealing the target audience
- Strong sense of quality and eye for detail
- Capable of multitasking and time management
- Good to have: understanding of basic SEO concepts and how readers find and use content on the web
- Graduate in Mass Media (Advertising) or similar discipline.
