Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Copy Editor to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for language, ensuring that all content is clear, engaging, and error-free. You will work closely with writers and other editors to refine and polish various types of content, including articles, marketing materials, and digital content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, style, and tone.
- Ensure all copy aligns with the company's brand voice and editorial guidelines.
- Collaborate with writers to enhance content quality and coherence.
- Fact-check information and ensure accuracy in all published materials.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers on improving their work.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in copy editing and content creation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in copy editing
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
