Job Title: Content Writer
Reporting to (Job Title): Head - Corporate Communications
Location Mumbai office
Overall job overview :
The Content Writer is accountable for developing highly engaging content for social media, websites, training material, print, advertising, stakeholder communication and internal platforms.
Main Activities and Responsibilities :
- Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print
- Create editorial calendars to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
- Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the Communication and wider global team (as needed) to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Develop copy for multiple platforms, such as websites, emails, video scripts, social media, blogs, advertisements, leadership presentations/ speeches, print and company newsletters
- Function as organisation- slead social networker and manage/ track social media presence
- Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility
- Brainstorm with the Communications team for new ideas and strategies for effective content
- Proactively finds waysto maximize effectiveness and impact of existing content and waysto - re-purpose-
- Research the cruise industry to create content that is innovative and original
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce strategic content
- Uitilise/ suggest tools for media creation
- Collaborate with graphic designer for creating compelling designs/ visuals
- Gain understanding of in-house content strategies and quality standards, and also help to design corporate guides
- Assist the Head of Communications and partners with official communication notes to stakeholders/seafarers
- Develop content and manage Content Management Systems such as WordPress and other similar tools
- Supervise all company communication material and recommend changes if necessary
Person Specifications :
A. Educational Qualification : Graduate/ PGD/ Masters in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, but degree holders in other specialisations are also eligible
B. Work Experience :
- Proven 3+ years- experience as a content writer or copywriter as part of Communications or Marketing/Digital Marketing Team
- Experience with content management systems and media/ image creation tools
C. Behavioural Skills :
- Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Be a self-starter, able to work with general direction and exercise independent judgment
- Be adaptable, proactive, deadline-driven, results-oriented, highly organized and detail-oriented
D. Professional skills :
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
