Content Writer - Business Process (4-8 yrs)
Business Process Content Writer Job Summary
The business process writer will prepare reports by observing work processes and best practices or conducting interviews with subject matter experts. The writer will organize the material that they have gathered and summarize their findings to convey the information to creative content writer and the proposal/technical writer who may need background information in order to create sales and marketing campaigns and collateral.
The business process writer will communicate with leadership and subject matter experts as potential interview sources. Content must follow the company editorial style guide. Excellent writing, spelling, and understanding of grammar/style are essential to the role, ensuring all content is accurate and fully described so downstream writers can extend and enhance the content for the targeted purpose without significant re-editing.
Content Writer Duties and Responsibilities
- Researching and organizing facts and sources
- Collecting, verifying and analyzing thoroughly content-worthy information
- Interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs) in a wide range of departments within Knoah
- Writing copy and reports for publication by the creative content writer and the proposal/technical writer
- Creating concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy that promote Knoah's core values and capabilities to prospective buyers
- Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with the team on new ideas and strategies that will help position Knoah to win new business vs the competition
- Create campaigns that drive traffic, improves customer engagement, leads, and sales.
- Building internal contacts and sources for use in future stories
- Be able to ask effective follow-up questions which might require SME to think through
their answers and elaborate
- Fact-checking the information given to you by a source
- Maintain notes and audio/video recordings
- Proactively researching topics for content that will be written on a wide variety of topics for multiple target audiences (case studies, solutions overviews, industry overviews, product guides, white papers, ebooks, company bios, sales presentations, video scripts, website copy, campaign landing pages, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, etc.)
Content Writer Requirements and Qualifications :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent grasp of the English language
- Critical thinker and planner
- Confident in producing work across multiple platforms
- Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas
- Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
- Positive attitude, a sense of humor, and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a team member
- Must be a problem-solver
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of the company, brand, and product preferred
- Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO a plus
- Ability to strictly follow and promote adherence to company policies and style
- High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in creative writing, journalism, English, or related field preferred
