Content Specialist - eCommerce (5-10 yrs)
Content Specialist
Coding Ninjas is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly creative individual to lead its content strategy and development for the brand. Write & proofread content for various platforms (websites, blogs, social media content, emailers, press releases, articles, online ads, presentations)
- Developing standards, systems, and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval, and content repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies
- Develop a content strategy based on a company's business objectives and a customer's or end user's needs working with creative teams across a copy, graphics, and video and external agencies, product marketing teams, digital teams, product teams, and other cross functional teams.
- Crafting and maintaining content calendars, content assets, and content development plans relevant for achieving monthly/ quarterly/ annual business and customer KPIs.
- Translate content strategy to lay down quantifiable goals on business metrics on the acquisition, traffic, engagement, retention, conversion, etc, and lead after aligning goals with digital teams, analytics teams, marketing insights team, UX teams.
- Partner closely with Digital Marketing teams to create content for social media channels, websites, SEO/SEM.
- Work with vendors, publishers, platforms (directly and indirectly), and other partners with the goal to find fast, creative and efficient ways to build, execute and measure innovative social media and content marketing plans that connect with customers, maximize engagement and create sharing and talk value.
- Lead the development and direct the implementation of a wide range of content forms, including video, text, still imagery, animation, live-action, content distribution, and other content forms that best utilize the technology available on any given social media/digital platform.
- Work collaboratively with teams across business units to develop and execute creative ideas, plans, and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in English, with a degree in Communications/Journalism, English, or related field.
- 5+ years of agency experience or in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven editorial skills. Outstanding command of the English language
- Expertise at adopting writing styles as suited to brand/product.
- Expertise in keyword placement and SEO best practices.Knowledge of social media, content marketing, SEO, and analytics
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Innovative thinking with the ability to develop original content.
- Superior Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ecommerce experience. B2C platform/ tech business industry experience must-have.
- Expertise in all major business software applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.)
