Key Responsibility Areas:
- Define SEO requirements and recommendations to increase page ranking and drive traffic and revenue.
- Be the in-house SEO expert and setup SEO best practices.
- Manage the SEO tech stack and be accountable for all related performance metrics.
- Maximize organic traffic growth by establishing a robust SEO target keyword list and working closely with marketing and engineering teams.
- Ensure all techniques and strategies are implemented and are consistent.
- Optimize current website architecture, URL structures, category taxonomies and content (new and existing) to maximize our results and grow non-branded traffic month on month.
- Be an expert on the ins and outs of our website, ensuring sitemaps stay updated and the correct processes are in place.
- Work on link building efforts, including strategy and processes.
- Stay abreast of new developments in the ecommerce industry and SEO overall, developing proactive and reactive strategies to help us become best-in-class.
- Directly responsible for organic growth of the company.
- Think out of the box and have a hacker attitude.
- Hands-on SEO professional with excellent problem solving skills and a proven track record of creating and executing SEO strategies designed to improve rankings and drive revenue.
- Identify and implement strategies for increasing site traffic through organic search listings through controlled and measurable experiments.
Must Haves:
- At-least 3 years of hands on experience.
- Record of accomplishment of implementing successful SEO strategies, where your efforts drove tremendous growth in rankings and revenue (E-Commerce preferably).
- Sound knowledge of HTML and CSS to identify code-based optimization opportunities.
- A strong metrics-driven mindset.
- Have technical skills such as understanding HTML, manipulating cascading style sheets (CSS), and an understanding of website design and usability.
- Deep understanding of how search bots crawl websites. Good understanding on how e-commerce website are build and work at both the back and front end.
- Understand canonicals and no index rules at scale. Advanced Excel knowledge.
Strong working knowledge of and proficiency with:
- Web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools.
- Be adept at using Google Adwords.
- SEO management platforms such as Moz, SEO Clarity, Search Metrics, Bright Edge S3 etc.
- Backlink portfolio management with tools such as Ahrefs or Majestic.
- Crawling tools including Botify, Screaming Frog and Deep Crawl.
- CMS environments such as WordPress, Craft, Drupal, or Site core.
