Communication Officer - NGO (2-10 yrs)

Creation and Delivery of Content:

- Co-ordinate with organization teams and stakeholders to collect and create success stories, quotes, testimonials, pictures etc. for periodic reports and bi-monthly newsletters.

- Ensure the proof read of collaterals, and their timely print and dissemination.

- Manage social media interaction in terms of conceptualizing and creating posts for social media platforms, engaging employees and volunteers to participate and promote the organization's mandate for girl child education.

- Provide communication support for events at the state, regional and district level including Foundation Day celebrations. This will include event planning, design and production of materials such as slogans, speeches, copy content for banners, event invites etc as may be required.

- Provide communication support as may be required for recruitment drive including for Team Balika (team of volunteers).

- Facilitate field visits including visits by representatives from donor entities, program partners, media channels including organizing requirements for the visits such as coordination with internal team members, preparation of brief to share with visitors, photography, videography etc.

Others:

- Assist the Communications Manager to track communications budget, material inventory checklist, etc.

- Manage translation work or other communications related work that may be assigned.

- Support the Communications Manager and coordinate with field program staff and external vendors to ensure consistent adherence to the organization branding and messaging guidelines.

- Induct new recruits to familiarize them with the organizations branding and communication guidelines.

Education Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in arts, journalism or media studies).

- At least 2 years of experience in communication or related field in a company, NGO or government agencies.

- Ability to write and present clearly and persuasively in Hindi and English. Proficiency in local dialect preferred.

- Demonstrated experience of managing social media platforms at the organization level including Facebook, Twitter for internal and external communication.

- Keen interest in social media including blogging and active engagement on various social media platforms.

- Proven capability to develop compelling stories with excellent written, oral and visual communications skills.

- Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of graphic designing softwares like CorelDraw and Photoshop will be an advantage.

- Ability and willingness to travel to block/ village level program areas.
