Job Summary :

- We are seeking a skilled and compassionate University Counselor to provide guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey. As a University Counselor, you will assist students in making informed decisions about their educational and career paths, provide counseling services, and help them overcome personal and academic challenges. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a positive and inclusive university environment that promotes student success and well-being.

Responsibilities :

- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address academic, career, and personal concerns.

- Assist students in developing educational and career goals based on their interests, abilities, and values.

- Provide information and guidance on university programs, course selection, and degree requirements.

- Support students in identifying and applying for scholarships, internships, and other educational opportunities.

- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other university departments to develop and implement support programs and resources for students.

- Assess students' needs and make appropriate referrals to campus resources, such as tutoring services, career centers, and mental health facilities.

- Monitor students' academic progress and provide interventions and support as needed.

- Conduct workshops and presentations on topics related to academic success, career development, and personal growth.

- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation of counseling sessions.

- Stay updated on current trends and developments in higher education, counseling techniques, and career opportunities.

Qualifications :

- Graduation degree .

- Previous experience in counseling or advising students in a university or educational setting.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse student populations.

- Knowledge of career assessment tools and resources.

- Familiarity with academic advising and university policies and procedures.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to counseling.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
