Cluster Business Manager - Sales - Group Loan (6-10 yrs)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cluster Business Manager to oversee the group loans business across multiple branches within a cluster. In this role, you will drive business growth, manage portfolio quality, and lead a team to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in microfinance or group lending, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of meeting financial and customer service targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth and performance of the group loans portfolio across all branches within the cluster.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve cluster-level business targets, including disbursements, customer acquisition, and repayment rates.
- Supervise and mentor branch managers and loan officers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer service and compliance.
- Monitor portfolio quality and implement corrective actions to manage risks and minimize delinquencies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, community leaders, and local authorities.
- Conduct regular branch visits to ensure operational consistency and provide on-ground support.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and refine strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical lending practices across the cluster.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on cluster performance, challenges, and opportunities to - senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in microfinance, group lending, or financial services, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of group loan products, credit assessment, and community-based lending models.
- Proven ability to manage teams and achieve business goals across multiple locations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in rural or underserved markets.
- Familiarity with financial inclusion initiatives and socio-economic challenges affecting group lending.
- Proficiency in regional languages to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
