POSITION - AVP - Sales Strategy [ Cross sales & Value added product ]

LOCATION :- Gurgaon

REPORTING TO : SVP - Distribution strategy

LEVEL : Chief Manager / AVP

REPORTING : 1

CTC : negotiable (depending upon current package, experience, education, interview status)

JOB DESCRIPTION:-

Primary Role Description

This position will be responsible for the development and execution of strategies to achieve the organizational objectives for Cross sell and Value Added Products (VAP).

The primary responsibilities are:

1) Cross Sell:

- Design the roadmap for Cross Sell - develop strategy for cross selling relevant products to existing customers

- Define and achieve Measures of success viz. Cross Sell business, no. of policies per customer, product categories etc.

2) VAP:

- Develop strategies to increase contribution of VAP in New Business

- Monitor and Execute defined plans to ensure VAP Plan is met

- Be the Product Sales Owner for the VAP products in the organisation

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Cross Sell

- Define the roadmap for Cross Sell for relevant channels; identify milestones for monitoring and any course correction

- Use rigorous analytics to determine opportunity areas for cross sell to existing customers

- Design and execute Cross Sell Campaigns - direct marketing, telecalling, through sales teams

- End to end campaign management - quantifying the opportunity, designing and executing related communication and processes, governance and stakeholder management

- Competition benchmarking to understand best practices and define benchmarks

- Regular review to validate progress against the overarching Cross Sell roadmap

- Along with topline, achieve desired efficiency (cost, productivity) for identified campaigns

Value Added Products (VAP) - IPA, Vital, Energy Products

- Develop Strategy to achieve the VAP Plans for New Business

- Key deliverables - VAP Topline and contribution to New Business for identified channels product wise

- Enable Sales teams to drive VAP through a holistic approach of enablers, granular MIS and review mechanisms

- Define Value Propositions for VAP - inputs to and execution through Product development, Training, Technology enablement etc.

- Simplify relevant processes (NB, Underwriting, OPS, IT etc.) for driving VAP

- Strategic Alliances for VAP

- Ongoing Sales Analytics to identify gaps and opportunity areas to drive wider participation by Sales teams in VAP

- Ensuring Renewals for VAP meet the Plan

Key Requirements - Education & Certificates

- Graduate or MBA (Preferred)

- Excellent verbal and written English Communication Skills (expert)

- Proficient user of MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Key Requirements - Experience &Skills

Basic Experience & Skills:

- At least 10 years of experience in the BFSI sector with significant experience in Cross Sell through various channels like Agency, Direct

- Any exposure to Product lines of IPA, Vital (Critical illness) and Energy (Diabetes plans) OR any track record in driving Value Added Products will be an advantage.

- Good organizational, planning and delivery skills.

- Ability to make considered business decisions based on explicit and implicit data and information.

- Analytical and process oriented

- Used to working in a high pressure environment and meeting challenging service standards.

- Good presentation, communication skills

- Excellent knowledge of competition and industry especially Insurance Distribution

- Ability to proactively identify potential impact of strategies - think long term and immediate term

- Identification, facilitation of and consultation with stakeholders as appropriate.
