Chemical Process Equipments - Sales Role (4-5 yrs)
Job Purpose :
- Responsible for prospecting, proposal management, allotted sales targets, conversions and timely payment receipt for orders booked.
Job Responsibilities/Accountability (major end results the job is expected to achieve) :
Prospecting and Client Development :
- Visit new prospects developed to introduce company and products on offer.
- Visit existing clients to maintain relations.
- Attend Conferences/Exhibitions company participates in.
Proposal Preparation and Management :
- Decipher enquiries received/allotted.
- Explain the enquiries received to the design engineers.
- Fix date for completion of design according to workload and deadlines.
- Solve any queries of design engineers and discuss with Sales Manager if required.
- Verify design sheet to check compliance with client requirements.
- Discuss designed enquiries with Proposal Engineer / Estimation Manager.
- Fix date for completion of estimation according to workload and deadlines.
- Review offers prepared and discuss if required.
- Send offers to clients.
- In case of any queries/ clarifications/ revisions required, discuss with. Design Engineer/ Estimation Manager/ Sales Director if required and reply to client and revise offer if required.
Sales :
- Follow-up offers sent to know offer satisfaction of offer and status of project.
- Allot followed up offers in categories.
- Prepare expected orders list as per information from clients.
- Attend techno-commercial discussions as required.
- Close orders.
- Discuss with Sales Manager / Director for projects and seek help if needed to close the order.
Projects :
- Review Purchase Orders received.
- In case of any concerns, seek amendment from client.
- Plan kick-off meeting with design, drawing and project team.
- Explain order to the team, fix dates of drawing and calculation submission & hand over job to Asst. Manager Projects.
- Solve any queries of design, drawing or production team about the project.
- Liaise with clients and intervene in case of any discrepancies during order.
Research and Development:
- Keep up to date with all new design standards, codes and technological advances.
- Take part in development of new products in the organization.
Job Specification : Qualifications (Basic, Professional & any other desired qualification) :
- Graduates in Chemical Engineering. Work Experience (No. of years, Industry & Areas in which person would have worked):
- Preferred 4-5 years of experience in relevant area of work
