Charmboard is looking for a new Fashion Features Editor based in Bangalore. We're searching for a highly skilled candidate, who works well in a fast- paced environment and has a strong background in both fashion and online.

Job Description :

- The ideal candidate is an accomplished online editor with a comprehensive knowledge of celebrity fashion trends, runway trends, and fashion brands, as well as exceptionally strong writing skills.

- Charmboard Fashion Features Editor must also have strong visual sensibilities and the ability to make fashion market recommendations that are suitable and appropriate for the site's content. The position offers enormous potential for growth within the company, and is an integral part of exciting multi- media fashion and beauty focus of Charmboard.com.

Responsibilities :

- Writing, editing, and conceiving visual stories, across all fashion/style categories.

- Video research

- Producing stories and newsletters in the CMS.

- Writing social copy around each story.

- Staying up to date on fashion/style news for timely stories (in addition to daily features), relevant videos, and social engagement.

- Maintaining close relationships with fashion publicists and brands.

- Working closely with celebrity stylists - agencies for exclusive features.

- Recruiting, training, and teaching interns to help with all of the above.

- Tracking and optimizing the site's traffic and referrals, on both a weekly and monthly basis.

Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in journalism, with the bulk of experience in digital and a proven background in fashion.

- Experience producing a high volume of daily stories as well as daily pick up reporting, in- depth investigative pieces, opinion pieces, and/or personal essays.

- Educated in SEO best practices and social media.

- Bachelor's degree.

- Strong grammar, research, and copy-editing skills, as well as a deep love of fashion writing.

- Firsthand experience with daily publishing in a CMS, plus familiarity with HTML and web- publishing software tools.

- A comprehensive knowledge of celebrities, models, tastemakers, bloggers, designers, and stylists.

- Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide self- direction.

- Strong contacts/relationships with fashion industry press teams and celebrity publicists.

- Create Charmboard.com's voice and style.

- A team player, with a resourceful, can-do attitude, who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
