Chapter247 - Executive - Business Development (2-4 yrs)
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Executive (BDE) with a minimum 2 years of experience to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will assist in identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth.
- The BDE will work closely with senior team members to learn and execute business development strategies.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings.
- Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels (e.g., bidding portals, social media, networking websites, industry events).
- Maintain a database of prospects and track interactions.
- Assist in building and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Perform an in-depth analysis of the client's requirements and document the specifications.
- Document client requirements in appropriate formats, such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs).
- Support senior team members in preparing and delivering sales presentations and proposals.
- Assist in the negotiation and closing of deals.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
Qualifications :
- Min. 2 years of experience as a Business Development Executive for IT & Web Development Services.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience and knowledge of bidding portals (Upwork, PPH, Guru, freelancer, etc) and bidding process.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and team members.
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to identify business opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Customer-oriented attitude with a focus on understanding and meeting client needs.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other tools.
- Basic knowledge of web development processes, including front-end and back-end technologies.
- Good knowledge of IT terminologies (frontend, backend, database, frameworks, libraries, etc.), web development, and data engineering.
- Awareness of common web technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, WordPress, MERN, MEAN, LAMP, etc
- Ability to create compelling cover letters and proposals that effectively communicate web development solutions to clients.
- Confidence to generate leads through online bidding, Direct email, LinkedIn, Cold calling, etc.
- Ability to format proper responses for bids and manage deals from start to finish.
- Should have knowledge of the structure and work culture of IT companies.
- Great documentation skills, which includes creation of documents like BRD, SRS, FRD, etc
