Category Manager_Staples
1. Category Strategy & Ownership :
a) Drive companies vision by customizing category role & implementing initiatives to meet plans.
b) Plan right product assortments for each store to stay relevant for customers.
c) Create store value perception for customers through aggressive pricing by constant market benchmarks.
d) Plan for higher stock turns with an effective inventory and working capital management.
e) Deliver Sale, RGM and Profitability.
2. Vendor Relations :
a) Negotiate and close commercial trading with vendors to meet category objectives.
b) Conduct joint business planning with vendors and monitor performance on agreed matrix.
c) Manage & optimize use of supplier resources. Harness supplier knowledge to drive category development.
d) Manage strategic supplier relationships with senior-level representatives to be ahead of competition.
3. Influence Cross Functions :
a) Implement category strategies & tactics with a sense of urgency to deliver category plans.
b) Liaise with store and marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities.
c) Work closely with Merchandising Planning & Replenishment functions to ensure stock availability.
d) Liaison with store operation team to understand customer feedback and drive strategies at ground level.
4. People Management :
a) Develop strong personal competencies to add value to the company.
b) Develop people skills that enable an open and strong relationship with vendors.
c) Facilitate effective cross functional communication & collaboration.
d) Demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty in all business dealings.
e) Hire and Develop best resources.
f) Ownership like an entrepreneur / merchant & build category/company with a long-term view.
5. New Store Commencement :
a) Understand New Store Catchment and Plan assortments, Planogram.
b) Drive customer engagement and excitement through customized aggressive promotions / product launches.

Salary - 10-15% hike on current (Up to 13 LPA)
