Category Manager - Sell Side - FMCG/Staples (4-8 yrs)
Role & Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and decision making criteria with respect to your category
- Understand market trends and factors shaping customer demand
- Understand competing options available to the customers across offline and online channels
- Own the sales and margin targets for your category
- Create and own category strategy.
- Create and execute monthly, quarterly annual sales plans by planning sales at single SKU level
- Translate into detailed and actionable plans with clearly defined owners and checkpoints
- Own pricing and price competency for all products in your category
- Own creation and execution of targeted promotions & campaigns Track campaign performance daily and work with merchandising and marketing teams to improve ROI.
- Own the on-app experience - look and feel of the app; esp around your category pages
- Analyze on-app behavior of customers (search, traffic, conversion funnel etc) and improve all key metrics
- Improve discoverability of the right products

- Interest and understanding of Retail in India within Grocery stores in staples industry
