Job description:
A person in this role would manage the National Key Accounts- Business (National Brands/Retail Chains in the offline space) for a category/set of categories. This is a national role and one would have end to end accountability for shaping up and managing the business of a category.
Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing the Category Strategy
- Laying out annual plans for the category
- Solution Deployment:
- Understanding the Merchant's business and store environment and working with stakeholders for deploying the right solution for the merchant
- This would need one to have strong product/solutioning orientation and abilities to work with internal product and engineering teams and the merchant's tech teams to accomplish this objective
- Work with stakeholders and provide right on ground inputs to enable the solutions evolve constantly so that we can continue delivering superior consumer experience specifically in the category's context
- Business Planning with Merchants:
- Long term/Annual business planning with the Merchant
- Breaking the long-term plan into executable blocks to arrive at monthly/quarterly plans
- Sign off the joint plans with the Merchant business teams and obtain a buy in and close function specific plans with each of the related functional teams on the Merchant's side
- Ownership of Top line for the category-Drive month on month top line numbers for each of the accounts. This will involve taking ownership of the following:
- Planning and execution of consumer promotions
- Planning the consumer communication mix for amplification of each of the promotions along with the company and Merchant Marketing teams-Optimum utilization of different communication channels for the same- In-App/Digital Mediums/In Store Communications/ATL/BTL
- Own key execution inputs to enable merchant's stores and consumers to adopt the solution (on field training of cashiers, in store merchandising etc) with the help of Merchant- s/company's on ground teams
- Planning and execution of Merchant specific BTL/Trade Promotion activities
- Planning and execution of other City/Category/Merchant specific inputs to drive the business
- Cost Centre Management:
- Budgeting for spends under different cost heads at a monthly/annual level
- Plan, track and optimize these spends on a consistent basis

Eligibility:
- MBA from Tier-1 Institutes: ISB/IIMs/XLRI/SP Jain/MDI/FMS or Equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of overall experience
- A significant part of this experience should be across FMCG/E-Commerce/F&B/Digital Payments/Retail sectors in the Key Account Management/Category Management domains
