Designation - Category Head - Air
Location - Bangalore
As category manager for the Air business you shall be primarily responsible for delivering the P&L targets of the B2C business (desktop and mobile). You will be responsible for laying out a multi year strategy for evolution and growth of the business as well as lead execution plans in a cross functional environment
Key Responsibilities :
- P&L Ownership : Manage the P&L to deliver to the budget
- Monitor & Manage Key Business Metrics : Customer acquisition/ retention, Conversion, Segment/Booking Volumes, Net Revenue, Revenue per Segment, Marketing/ Discounts per Segment and EBIT
- Supplier Relationships : Regular interaction with airlines supplier relationship teams as well periodic interactions with airlines to establish deep relationships to drive customer friendly pricing and tactical campaigns.
- Product : Monitor global trends in consumer behavior and use deep understanding of consumer/ airlines needs to evolve the Air Product in conjunction with the Product Team
- Cross Functional Ownership : Role entails close working with various internal teams across Product, Technology, Fulfillment, Customer Support, Corporate Strategy and Marketing etc. Role will be to manage relationships and take accountability of the end to end delivery of tasks to lead traffic growth, conversion and additional revenue for each category
- Pricing and Promotions : Ideate sales promotions with marketing teams, manage website pricing
- Reporting : Performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Prior P&L / Corporate Development/ Corporate Strategy/ Category Management/ Product Management experience preferable in an online environment
- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy fast paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in the heat of battle
- Excellent understanding of market and consumer trends
- Self-starter with excellent communication, leadership, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with different functional teams and levels to lead achievement of the objective
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles with outstanding execution and demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems
- Ability to build strong business relationship with suppliers and partners
- Approximately 8-12 years- experience
