Job Summary:

As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our online store. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing different categories of products, ensuring it meets our business objectives, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market. Your expertise in assortment management, sourcing, pricing strategies, and market analysis will be instrumental in achieving our company's goals.

Responsibilities :

1. Category Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and growth targets.

2. Pricing and Promotion : Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to determine optimal pricing strategies. Coordinate with the marketing team to design effective promotional campaigns for the category.

3. Sales and Profitability: Monitor category performance metrics, sales, and profitability regularly. Take proactive measures to enhance performance and address any challenges that may arise.

4. Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory team to maintain adequate stock levels, minimize stockouts, and manage slow-moving inventory effectively.

5. Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research and stay updated on industry trends, customer behavior, and emerging technologies to anticipate opportunities and threats.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including marketing, operations, finance and customer service, to ensure seamless category management and an excellent customer experience.

7. Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data analytics and relevant tools to make informed decisions about product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities.

Qualifications :

1. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Category Manager or similar role in the e-commerce industry.

2. Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a product category, driving sales, and achieving profitability targets.
