Position Overview :

The National Sales Manager for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) Devices will oversee and drive the sales strategy on a national level, ensuring the company's growth and market penetration. This leadership role involves managing a team of regional sales managers and representatives, developing comprehensive sales plans, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical device sales, particularly within the NPWT market, and a proven track record of leading and motivating sales teams to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership and Management :

- Lead, mentor, and develop a national sales team, including regional managers and sales representatives. Set clear performance expectations and goals for the sales team.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Sales Strategy and Planning :

- Develop and execute a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to identify opportunities for growth. Prepare and manage the national sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

Customer Relationship Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare providers, hospital systems, and other stakeholders. Facilitate high-level negotiations and agreements with major accounts.

- Oversee the development and implementation of customer retention and satisfaction programs.

Market Development :

- Expand the market presence of NPWT devices through strategic partnerships, promotions, and innovative sales tactics. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and key events to promote NPWT products. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute national marketing campaigns.

Clinical and Product Knowledge :

- Maintain a thorough understanding of NPWT devices, their clinical applications, and benefits.

- Ensure the sales team is well-trained on product knowledge and can effectively communicate this to customers. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new product developments.

Reporting and Administration :

- Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and outcomes.

- Oversee the use of CRM systems to manage customer interactions and sales processes.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience :

- Minimum of 7-10 years of successful sales experience in the medical device industry, with at least 3-5 years in a senior sales management role.

- Extensive experience with NPWT devices and a deep understanding of the wound care market.

- Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing sales teams.

Skills :

- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.

- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable strategies.

- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Established network within the healthcare industry, particularly in wound care.

- Clinical background or medical training related to wound care is a plus.

Working Conditions :

- Significant travel required to support the national sales team and meet with key clients.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
