Job Title: Business Development Manager (EdTech Sales)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts in the EdTech sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the education technology landscape, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to forge strong relationships with educational institutions and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Research and target potential clients in the education sector, including schools, colleges, universities, and training centers.

- Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their needs and positioning our solutions effectively.

- Strategic Sales Planning: Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategies.

- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment and the successful delivery of solutions.

- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.

- Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead contract negotiations and close deals that are beneficial for both the client and the company.

- Reporting and Analysis: Track and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

- Educational Background: Bachelor's degreeor Masters in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in business development management or sales, preferably within the EdTech industry.

- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.

- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the education technology landscape and current trends.

- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

- Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing market data and sales metrics to inform decision-making.

- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving industry.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

- Understanding of data science and analytics as they apply to education.

- Experience in B2B sales environments.
