Business Manager - Food/Retail (6-13 yrs)
Primary Roles and Responsibilities :
Purpose of the Job Role Overall responsibility of Sales, Retailing Operations and profitability of the store and adherence to all SOPs
Primary Responsibilities :
- Manage and deliver a profitable store by achieving the AOP target for the respective store
- Stock management for both incoming and outgoing stock which includes weekly forecasting and stock ordering/replenishment
- Take decisions with respect to stock proliferation, customer relations, refunds/refund policies
- Inventory management
- Ensure timely and accurate implementation of both new and existing processes, promotions and marketing offers in the store
- Responsible for achieving store audit scores - Responsible for achieving the D&E target
- Customer management - giving a threshold level of customer experience as defined by the organization
- People management and performance management of the staff through inductions and trainings and controlling attrition
- Manpower management, attrition and deciding on the job rotation of the employees
- Allocating tasks and creating duty rosters for the staff in the store
- Merchandizing by coordinating with the merchandizing staff
- Handling both floor and back office work with respect to checking petty cash vouchers, sales cash, resolution of customer complaints (both walk-in and online), housekeeping checklist and observation
- Ensuring the store layout and other implementation is according to the planogram
- Vendor management ensuring getting products that would benefit the overall sales of the store
- Conduct daily and weekly sales analysis and identifying high and low frequency customers
- Establish benchmarking of products based on competitor analysis and pricing of the products
- Ensuring store maintenance base on Preventive Maintenance Checklist and Annual Maintenance
Checklist - Report about license expiry to the license team for various licenses such as S&V and trade license
Role Outcome :
- Meeting the sales & P&L target of the store
- SOP adherence in the store
- Stock management/replenishment
- People and performance management
- Multiplicity of Roles Along with being the Business Manager, he or she is expected to support all the staff in the store in carrying out their tasks.
Qualification Criteria :
- Minimum Educational Qualification Graduate in Hotel Management or a MBA background
- Number of Years of Experience & Required Specialized Knowledge 6-8 years and above experience as a store manager or restaurant manager.
- Should have retail experience & grocery background would be preferred. Basic knowledge of MS Excel needed
- Required Skills Fluent in English and local language preferred, high on interpersonal skills, people management skills, must be strategic specifically from an implementation perspective, should be open to shift work. Should show drive and high level of energy
