Business Development Specialist - MICE/Events (3-5 yrs)
MICE/Events - Business Development Specialist
CTC : 7.2 LPA (70% fixed + 30% variable).
Work Location : HSR Layout, Bangalore
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a "MICE / Events - Business Development" professional. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and expanding our Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) business segment. Your primary focus will be on acquiring new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and generating revenue through the sale of event-related services and solutions and handling projects with utmost proficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Acquisition : Identify, prospect, and target potential clients in various industries and sectors for MICE and event-related services. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences, and leverage this knowledge to position our offerings effectively.
- Sales Strategy : Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the MICE / Events business segment. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling sales pitches presentations, and proposals that highlight the unique value proposition of our services.
- Event Strategy & Execution : From concept to completion, the candidate must strategize and flawlessly execute events that align with business objectives and exceed expectations.
- Relationship Management : Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and industry partners to foster repeat business and referrals. Act as the main point of contact for clients and ensure their needs and expectations are met, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Networking and Industry Engagement : Represent the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our MICE / Events services and explore potential partnership opportunities. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business prospects and generate revenue.
- Negotiation and Contracting : Lead negotiation efforts with clients to secure contracts for event services, ensuring terms and conditions align with company policies and profitability goals
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working in cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders to achieve collective success
- Revenue Generation: Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue objectives for the MICE / Events business segment. Regularly track and report sales performance and pipeline updates to the management team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations and Event Management teams to ensure smooth execution of events and maintain consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the event planning process.
- Market Insights: Continuously analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify potential areas of improvement and expansion for our MICE / Events offerings.
Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successful sales and business development in the MICE / Events industry.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a customer-eccentric approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with event management software and CRM tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, trends, and best practices.
- A passion for the events industry and a keen eye for emerging market opportunities.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
