Business Development Specialist - IT Recruitment Business (2-4 yrs)

- Numinous Ventures Inc. is a Toronto based Software Development & IT consultancy. We are mainly looking to expand in the USA & Canadian markets to provide IT & Non-IT recruiting needs. We are an early stage startup looking for our first Business Development Specialist (100% remote) to help us build client relationships in the IT Sourcing & Recruiting domain.
- We are looking for an ambitious and energetic team-player to help us build & expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
- We are small enough that you can make an impact within the company as the very first employee on the business development side. This is a perfect opportunity for someone highly motivated who would like to join the ambitious startup at a very early stage.
- You should be comfortable working in a small startup with lots of ambiguity and agile/flexible processes. You would be expected to contribute wherever you can to help in the company's growth. This will in-turn be super rewarding for the right individual.
Position Summary
- With a focus on getting our first clients onboard & driving sales volume in the North American market, the Business Development Specialist will be responsible for hunting and qualifying new prospect accounts.
- This position will report directly to the founder and will work closely with him & the VP.
- The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and creative individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new business through sales efforts. You will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.
- To be successful in this role, you must welcome challenges and be a driven performer motivated by exceeding targets. You are a season hunter comfortable with cold calling. You have the ability to stay organized while operating with a high sense of urgency, pay attention to small details, while never forgetting about the big picture.
Location - 100% Remote Role (Must be willing to work on EST/CST/PST time-zone)
Key Responsibilities :
- Contact potential clients using various methods such as cold calling, emails, networking & social media and lead clients meetings
- Develop strong relationships with potential new accounts and maintain a pipeline of new leads/prospects
- Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle
- Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
- Examines risks and potentials for the business opportunities
- Partner with leadership to create and implement business strategies for attracting and signing new clients
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
- Identify, contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities
- Identify industry technology & business trends, customer needs so as to build short term to long term opportunities/pipeline
- Create and share best practices
Qualifications (We encourage to apply even if you don't meet all stated requirements)
Education: Engineering / MBA (attitude is more important that formal education)
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Drive & self-motivation and strong persistence and resilience
- Around 2 - 4 years experience in Pre Sales / Sales experience in IT recruiting
- Excellent communications, negotiation & presentation skills (Proficiency in English)
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent understanding of IT delivery models, pricing models & latest technologies
- Proven sales track record
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM & basic business softwares (willing to train)
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure
