Business Development Role - IT (0-4 yrs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new opportunities for the sales team through targeted outbound cold calling and prospecting
- Work in partnership with experienced Account Executives to build and maintain a large pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to support revenue targets and quota
- Communicate with prospects that show an interest in our products and services
- Know, understand, and present value proposition clearly and succinctly
- Educate prospects on how our products and services can fulfil their current and future needs
- Identify and map new prospect business issues to our products and services
- Report on the success of marketing campaigns and provide the "what worked and what did not work" feedback
- Communicate new product and service opportunities gathered through prospect/field activity to appropriate company staff
- Be a team player; share your knowledge and successes.
Requirements:
- University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of proven success in the software industry using inbound and outbound prospecting as your primary success tools in a B2B sales environment
- History of over-achieving quota
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Your most important asset is your ability to be personable but persuasive and to communicate convincingly over the phone
- Skilled at overcoming objections
- Proven successful history of being able to "get" to the right people
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Enjoy the challenge of developing new business
- Outstanding client care skills
- Creative thinker & process driven
- Solution and ROI selling experience; strength in using solutions selling tactics
- Salesforce.com experience is an asset
